Liberation Collective works with organizations, communities, and individuals to get free from systems of oppression within ourselves, our relationships, and our systems.

We do that in 3 ways.

Skills Building & Learning

We create learning experiences for individuals, school communities, colleagues, religious communities, and other groups that grow our collective capacity to address injustice and cultivate healthy communities for all.

  • Join a workshop launching in February 2024! If you want new ideas for responding to kids’ questions about inequity or fresh strategies for preparing them to demonstrate kindness and justice, join our JUST Kids workshops for parents and educators. If you are looking to build skills to identify and address oppression in yourself, your relationships, or systems, consider our liberation series!

  • Come see us at an upcoming event on a range of topics aimed at supporting our collective liberation.

  • Create learning experiences for your team that explore topics ranging from transformative conflict, educator practices for supporting kindness and justice among students, frameworks for getting to the root of oppression, and more. Contact us to learn more!

People renewing their relationships across lines of difference to overcome racism, sexism, homophobia, classism and more.

Relationship & Culture Development

We support communities in restoring relationships and reestablishing healthy community cultures that propel rather than hinder our journey toward liberation.

  • Dialogue—different than discussion or debate—is a powerful experience of connecting more deeply than perhaps once seemed possible and examining our own assumptions while learning from others’. Contact us to learn how you can be a part of this transformative experience.

  • Relational Design is an ancient practice of communities accessing their shared, relational knowledge to design ways of amplifying their strengths and responding to their needs. This often happens naturally when relationships are healthy. However, when relationships are weak we can strengthen those bonds and unlock a community’s capacity to design its own solutions. Read our Relational Design paper and reach out to learn more!

  • We cannot get to justice without conflict. But we can learn to engage in healthy conflict that deepens relationships rather than destroys them. Contact us to learn how we support organizations in building their capacity for liberatory conflict.

People taking collective action to create a more just world that is equitable and provides equal access to opportunity and belonging for all.

Collective Action

We support communities on their journey of collectively identifying and addressing systemic injustice at its roots as they co-create just alternatives that honor our shared humanity.

  • Building your organization’s capacity to address injustice internally and with those you serve rarely shows up on your job description. But it is ours! Our passion is helping schools and other organizations demonstrate concrete progress on decreasing inequity and advancing justice. Reach out to discuss how we can customize support for your school or organization.

  • Workshops allow teams to dive deep into learning and spark lasting change. Reach out to learn how we can support your organization in identifying and addressing inequity at its root, developing more kindness and justice among students, building healthy conflict skills, and more!

  • Community-driven change has long been the engine of just action and will continue to propel progress. As we grow more diverse coalitions, we must strengthen our skills for liberatory collaboration lest our movements become mired in the same supremacies we are working to combat. We support diverse coalitions in schools and beyond in developing liberatory collaboration skills to drive truly transformative change. Contact us to learn more.
